We begin by drawing your blood into vials that are then placed in our EZ PRF centrifuge. The machine spins your blood at a high speed to separate your platelet-rich fibrin (full of growth factors/stem cells and other skin-rejuvenating ingredients not available in PRF) from the rest of your blood.
The spin-method used not only collects PRF, but it also collects Albumin, a naturally occurring protein in the human body which creates the bio-filler gel.
Just a few years ago, PRP or platelet-rich plasma injections were introduced as a groundbreaking, natural treatment for treating volume loss by stimulating the production of collagen. This is now a mainstream ingredient for natural and non-surgical treatments.
Fast forward to more recently, PRF or platelet-rich fibrin was discovered to contain higher concentrations of white blood cells, fibrin and stem cells, which provide patients with much better results in less treatments. Think of traditional PRF as the second generation to PRP.
With EZ-GEL PRF, we spin a separate vial of your blood to collect albumin, a protein naturally-produced in the human body and bio-available in your blood. The all-natural albumin gel creates the filler aspect of this treatment.
The 100% natural bio-filler will last for about 3 months, with the rejuvenating benefits of the PRF continuing to provide rejuvenating results for 6-12 months.
Every patient is different. A series of at least two treatments performed 6 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. We have discounted rates for those who opt for a series package.
Downtime is minimal at about three days. There can be mild tenderness to the treated area, which can be managed with Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Swelling at the injection site is typical, and can occasionally be seen 1-2 days after injections, this is normal and should resolve within 48 hours. As with any type of injection, bruising is always a possibility.
EZ-Gel is one of the safest injectables available and can be injected into areas that are considered high-risk zones when using traditional HA fillers. The reason being that if the EZ-Gel is injected into a blood vessel, there is absolutely no risk because it is only your own blood simply being reintroduced into your blood stream., making this treatment ideal and safe for a complete facial rejuvenation.
Some patients report a brief and mild pinch with a light pressure that is highly tolerable. We apply a topical numbing prior to injection to provide our patients with additional comfort during the procedure.
