Skincare and skin treatments are important for skin rejuvenation and improving and maintaining the skin’s overall health. However, finding a safe and healthy way to continue to care for your skin during pregnancy or while breastfeeding can be challenging. At Elite Medspa + Wellness Center, we have included pregnancy-safe services and skincare recommendations that can help you maintain your glow without applying any harmful chemicals.
Services
HydraFacials are an ideal service during pregnancy without the use of Glycolic and Salicylic acid exfoliation. The acid exfoliation will be switched out for an Enzyme treatment. This is also safe for breastfeeding women. HydraFacials remove impurities from the skin and pores while infusing them with antioxidants and peptides to maintain the skin’s overall health and hydration.
Home care products are important due to the fact that the topical numbing for
Microneedling and laser treatments should not be used on pregnant women, and there is also a higher risk for discomfort and Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation due to the hormonal changes women experience. Homecare products will help to maintain and treat their skin!
Skincare
The entire Alastin line is excellent and safe to use! The Restorative Skin Complex will help to build new collagen and elastin when the client cannot receive Botox, fillers, and Microneedling or treatment with lasers.
The SkinBetter line is also safe for additional hydration and exfoliation. However, the AlphaRet products and Alto Defense are NOT considered safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The IS Clinical line, which is botanically based and not tested on animals, is for women that are more conservative and only looking for “organic” products to use while pregnant or breastfeeding. Active Serum and ProHeal are NOT considered safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The Reparative Mask from The Elite Line would be great for additional hydration and to calm irritated or tired skin. This does not include the Peel pads, Brightening complex, or C+E Ferulic acid.
